SYNOPSIS
Kings’ Nights, by Vinicius Reis, exposes Dora’s family story. Few years after a family tragedy, Dora and her daughter Julia return to their daily routine. It is December. Clowns and musicians dance around the streets in a small town by the sea, close to Rio de Janeiro. The warmth and the holiday season invites people to swim in the green clear waters of the region, but for Dora the beach is where the ashes of Lucas – her son – are resting. The arrival of an unexpected visitor will rock the structure of their lives – Jorge, her husband. He left the day after the fire which took the life of their son Lucas, and never returned. His return brings back the pain of the loss of the son and brother. From the crisis springs the opportunity for healing.
